General Questions

Before you file a claim with your insurance, call us for a free inspection at (816) 880-3908. Sometimes, certain repairs don’t require a claim because their costs do not exceed your deductible. In these instances, we can help you avoid a claim altogether. Otherwise, the claim will stay on your record for about five years and drive up the cost you pay for your coverage.

Roof and siding construction can be inherently messy, but our crews strive to clean up and leave your property as tidy as it was when we arrived. We will run large magnets over the ground surrounding your project to pick up nails and other metallic debris.
The day we begin work, please ensure your driveway is cleared. We will park our construction trailer in your driveway while we work. Be sure to move any boats, RVs, or other vehicles parked next to the house.

We recommend mowing your yard just before we come, to make clean-up easier.

Inside, if you have any loose breakables or treasures hanging on your walls, take them down so they don’t vibrate and fall due to hammering.

Roofing FAQs

The asphalt architectural shingles we install last about 25 years. The average metal roof will last up to 70 years under the right conditions. However, this material is less common. If you have a leaking roof, your first instinct may be to climb onto the roof to check it out. However, most people are unable to identify exactly what is causing a roof leak – if it is even a roof leak at all. For example, some ceiling stains can be due to a siding, window, or gutter issue.

Sometimes it’s very clear that you may need a new roof, such as after a storm when you find shingles in your yard. Other times, it’s less obvious. You may begin to notice shingle granules (the textured part of the shingle) coming off and collecting in your gutters. As a result, your shingles may appear smoother than normal. You may see “dimples” from where hail has hit your roof. Or, if you know when your roof was last replaced, and it’s been more than 20 years, it’s likely that you need a new one.
