General Questions

Before you file a claim with your insurance call us for a free inspection at (816) 880-3908. Sometimes, certain repairs don’t require a claim because their costs do not exceed your deductible. In these instances, we can help you avoid a claim altogether. Otherwise, the claim will stay on your record for about five years and drive up the cost you pay for your coverage.

If you do need to use your insurance coverage, Priority Roofing can help you navigate the process, including meeting with your insurance adjuster on site to discuss the necessary repairs.
With multiple decades of experience serving Kansas City, we have become familiar with HOA guidelines that restrict the type or color of siding and roofing materials. Priority Roofing will ensure we meet your HOA guidelines.

Priority Roofing has been in business since 2008, but founder John Rieger was working on Kansas City roofs back in 2004. We are a long-established roofing company with a dedication to craftsmanship and quality, not to be confused with other roofing companies with similar names!
Roof and siding construction can be inherently messy, but our crews strive to clean up and leave your property as tidy as it was when we arrived. We will run large magnets over the ground surrounding your project to pick up nails and other metallic debris.
The day we begin work, please ensure your driveway is cleared. We will park our construction trailer in your driveway while we work. Be sure to move any boats, RVs, or other vehicles parked next to the house.

We recommend mowing your yard just before we come, to make clean-up easier.

Inside, if you have any loose breakables or treasures hanging on your walls, take them down so they don’t vibrate and fall due to hammering.

Roofing FAQs

How much a new roof costs depends on many factors, including roof size, whether decking needs replaced, and the kind of roof you want. The only way to know for certain how much a new roof will cost on your home or business is to request a free estimate from Priority Roofing.

The asphalt architectural shingles we install last about 25 years. The average metal roof will last up to 70 years under the right conditions. However, this material is less common. How long a roof lasts also depends on weather conditions and how well you maintain it over the years. Deferring repairs or skipping gutter cleanings, for example, can shorten the life of your roof.

If you have a leaking roof, your first instinct may be to climb onto the roof to check it out. However, most people are unable to identify exactly what is causing a roof leak – if it is even a roof leak at all. For example, some ceiling stains can be due to a siding, window, or gutter issue.

The most important thing to remember about how to go about fixing a leaking roof is to call in a roofing professional to evaluate it for you. If you suspect a leak, call us at (816) 880-3908.
The clearest answer is “sometimes.” Not all perceived leaks or ceiling stains are due to a roofing issue. In fact, your gutters or siding could be to blame. The only way to know for sure whether your roof needs to be repaired or replaced is to get it inspected.
Priority Roofing installs TPO membrane roofing, also called a modified two-ply system, on commercial buildings. We do not install roofing materials that require hot applications, such as tar. Visit our commercial roofing page for more information.
Sometimes it’s very clear that you may need a new roof, such as after a storm when you find shingles in your yard. Other times, it’s less obvious. You may begin to notice shingle granules (the textured part of the shingle) coming off and collecting in your gutters. As a result, your shingles may appear smoother than normal. You may see “dimples” from where hail has hit your roof. Or, if you know when your roof was last replaced, and it’s been more than 20 years, it’s likely that you need a new one.

Don’t just assume you need a new roof, though. Instead, request a roof inspection and evaluation from Kansas City’s caring roofing contractors at Priority Roofing.
Priority Roofing installs CertainTeed shingles, which are backed by a limited, prorated, and transferable 50-year warranty by the manufacturer. We also extend a labor warranty that covers our workmanship for 5 years. Contact us for more information on our warranties.

Siding FAQs

The cost of all-new siding on the exterior of your home or business depends on how large the exterior is, whether sheathing needs to be replaced, and whether you choose vinyl or LP engineered wood siding. To learn more, request a free estimate for new siding from Priority Roofing.
Both vinyl siding and LP SmartSide engineered wood siding have their own pros and cons lists. Both are relatively low maintenance and durable. Both products provide similar insulating properties, and their costs are similar. The choice is ultimately yours! Our siding team will walk you through minor cost differences and benefits based on your home and lifestyle.
If your existing siding is rotting, loose, has holes, is waterlogged, or is otherwise damaged, it may be time for new siding. This may be most apparent after a major windstorm, or if you begin noticing leaks. Learn more about our options for quality, durable siding.
Yes! The details of the warranty depend on the type of siding you choose. Priority Roofing will provide you with warranty documents in our customer packet.

Gutter FAQs

The cost of new gutters and downspouts will vary based on the size of your home or business, the size of seamless gutters you choose, the kind of guards you add to them, and whether you need any other gutter system elements replaced, like fascia boards. Generally, new gutters are one of the most affordable upgrades you can make to your home, however. To learn how much new gutters cost, request a free no-obligation estimate from Priority Roofing today.
We install 5” or 6” seamless gutters. They come pre-finished in a wide range of colors, so no painting is required. Learn more about our gutter services.
Commonly called gutter covers, gutter guards block debris like leaves from clogging your gutters and downspouts. Priority Roofing recommends gutter covers to all our gutter installation clients because they can save time, money, and frustration, as well as prevent gutters from backing up and causing interior ceiling stains.
